Abhishek Bachchan And Vivek Oberoi Forget Past Differences And Hug It Out
It was a sight to behold as Abhishek Bachchan and Vivek Oberoi greeted and hugged each other at the felicitation ceremony of badminton champion PV Sindhu this morning
This morning, several Bollywood gathered to attend the event meant to felicitate the big win of Badminton star PV Sindhu at the Badminton World Championship. But onlookers’ eyes popped with surprise when they saw two celebs just letting their bygones be bygones. Vivek Oberoi and Abhishek Bachchan had an encounter on the red carpet in the presence of the film fraternity and media photographers. The two smiled at each other followed by a warm hug.
The scenario on the red carpet was quite harmonious as Abhishek Bachchan who had accompanied his father Amitabh Bachchan greeted veteran actor Suresh Oberoi and his wife, followed by Vivek Oberoi. Vivek and Abhishek forgot the past and hugged it out. Further, Abhishek also greeted Vivek’s wife Priyanka Alva Oberoi present at the event. Both the actors were seen smiling on the red carpet.
In the recent past Vivek had shared a meme during his last release PM Narendra Modi, where he took a dig at ex-flame Aishwarya Rai’s relationship with Salman Khan, followed by him and eventually getting married to Abhishek Bachchan. The actor had to face a lot of backlash on the social media post which he apologized and deleted the tweet. At the time, Abhishek and Aishwarya stayed mum.
This was their first encounter post the social media fiasco. While this isn’t the first instance when we see their camaraderie as in 2010, Abhishek had appreciated Vivek’s first look from Ram Gopal Varma’s Rakta Charitra.
Before hugging it out with Vivek and burying the hatchet, Abhishek Bachchan had also hugged Salman Khan at one of the award functions, which had headlined all the leading publications in the past.
Just a quick recap, before former beauty queen Aishwarya Rai got hitched to Abhishek Bachchan, she dated Vivek Oberoi for a brief period. Their relationship sparked a lot of controversies in the media back then. The actress had an ugly break-up with Salman Khan post which she dated Vivek. Thus, news reports of Salman terrifying Vivek were also in the news. Hence, these three actors were always pitted against each other.
But, with the actors maturely greeting each other in public space, it’s proof that they have moved on and forgotten the past.
